Non-Registered Events for Fun
What are you doing to keep you shooting skills sharp?  Perhaps you might consider some of the non-registered events in Central Ohio?  Or perhaps at your own club.   These events allow you to compete--but won't allow adverse weather to impact your averages.
In late March, the 16 Gauge Society is

Bob Skillman and the Buckeye Vintagers
A special event will be held at the 2007 State Skeet Shoot to honor the memory of Dayton shooter, Bob Skillman.  Bob was a fan of the traditional side by side shotgun, and he used it in competition in his later years.

Ohio Skeet Hall of Fame Suggestion
What do you think about a rotating Ohio Hall of Fame exhibit amongst Ohio's shooting clubs?
While it is nice that the Sportsman's Club has donated space--perhaps a traveling exhibit would get us even better exposure for our sport.

Some of my New Year’s Resolutions
    * Shoot more CLAYS!
    * Stop complaining about the cost of targets, lead, or shot.
    * Ditch the oddball European hulls--no point in saving them another year.  [Heck, they are years old now any way.]
    * Stop buying shotguns, sell the dusty ones and learn to shoot the ones I

You can make a difference!
Stop and think about this for a moment--
Skeet is a lifetime sport, but will it last for your lifetime?   Are you doing anything to promote the future of sport we love?  What are you doing to protect the future of our favorite shooting game?  I suspect we all could make a difference with only a

Just what is Vintage Skeet and why is it shot?
Ohio was the home of the first World Shoot and Ohio was likewise home of the 1st World Vintage Shoot in 2001. The goal was to make the game more fun!   Vintage Skeet provides an opportunity to use some of those old time skeet guns that are no longer considered competitive equipment, i.e. pumps and
