What are you doing to keep you shooting skills sharp?  Perhaps you might consider some of the non-registered events in Central Ohio?  Or perhaps at your own club.   These events allow you to compete--but won't allow adverse weather to impact your averages.
 
In late March, the 16 Gauge Society is running a two day shoot involving Skeet, Trap Sporting Clays, and Argentina Clays.  Here is a copy of the program.

[Sunday at Handlebar Ranch]

Information:
    * This Tournament is open to all 16 Gauge Shotgun fans.
    * Shoot Saturday at Black Wing and Sunday at Handlebar Ranch.
    * 100 target events-Entry $40.00.
    * Only 16 gauge cartridge shotguns are permitted.  Maximum load/shot, 1 ounce #7 ½’s
    * Host clubs will offer shells at prevailing prices.
    * Awards for Open Champ/Runner-Up/Third Place in each Event.
    * High Over All Awards based on Rank Score system, recognizing First through Fifth  
    * *Special Door Prize-[*requires minimum of 25 shooters]
 
16 Gauge Remington 870 Express Shotgun.  [1 chance for each event entered.]
 
    * Only ties for Gun Champ will shoot off, all others ties broken by longest run from the from the front/rear.
    * Club reserves the right to amend this program.

No score with handicap may exceed 49x50
 
Ties
 
Only High Gun Shoots off, regular Vintage Skeet Miss and Out by Station
All other ties--advantage to smaller gauge, then long run.
