Wayne Mayes is the top ranked skeet shooter in the country with over 188 straights in the .410 alone. He holds records in several concurrent age categories and more World and National Titles to even list here. He is the “god-of-skeet” to many and just a natural born Champion.
Wayne usually holds most of his clinics in Tennessee in the spring before his yearly shooting schedule fills up, but at several rare times he has conducted a clinic just before or after a major shoot he is attending. In Ohio, that means John Haugh’s COLORMATRIX OPEN SKEET CHAMPIONSHIPS where Wayne regularly comes to Canton and shows us all how it’s done.
In 2008, Wayne ran a Doubles Clinic just before the Doubles Event and then ran a regular skeet clinic on the Monday and Tuesday following the shoot. In 2009, Wayne has again agreed to host a Doubles Clinic just before the Doubles Event at the COLORMATRIX (June 26th) and is only charging $150 per person (plus targets and shells) for the privilege of learning how to shoot Doubles - right.
